Dear SW developers,
since many years large parts of Europe and
some parts of the world are using the FlexNet
routing technology.
Unfortunately, programs as XNET, TNN, PCFLEX
has been abandoned.
In particular the most note XNET (about 20
years old) largely used today give the following
situations at I0OJJ and at IGATE (only Flex):

This software continue to function in some
way but show to be obsolete in some parts.
The negative thing is that NO SOURCE has
been released and no improvement/revamp
are possible.
One way to solve is to implement the Flexnet
operation, specially on BPQ node and on
Xrouter node being yet on active development.
In particular, Maiko VE4KLM promise on the to-do
list for JNOS2:
f) complete and fix or redesign my very dated INP3 implementation
g) fit in the FlexNet protocol

Another way, specially for German developers,
should be to revamp/modernize the TNN which
own several good features but LACK on the
capability to link a node partner BOTH as
FlexNet and as INP/N/N+ at the same time :(
This last could be a valid substitute of XNET and
perhaps become one of best product on this area :)
