COMMENT: Solar activity has been eruptive during the past 24 hours,
featuring five C flares, especially from NOAA AR 11591. C-level flares
are expected within the next 48 hours, with a chance for an M flare,
especially from AR 11591 and from a backside AR currently near the
north-eastern limb.
The geomagnetic varied from quiet to minor storm levels (K Dourbes
between 2 and 5; NOAA Kp between 2 and 3) during the past 24 hours.
Quiet (K Dourbes < 4) geomagnetic activity is expected for October 15,
16 and 17.
