PREDICTIONS FOR 11 Aug 2012 10CM FLUX: 123 / AP: 003
PREDICTIONS FOR 12 Aug 2012 10CM FLUX: 121 / AP: 003
PREDICTIONS FOR 13 Aug 2012 10CM FLUX: 119 / AP: 003
COMMENT: An M1.0 flare peaked at 12:20 UT today in the NOAA AR 1540. We
expect continuing C-flaring activity, with a fair chance for an isolated
M-class flare. A partial halo CME was first detected in the LASCO C2
field of view at 11:48 UT yesterday. STEREO A data demonstrate that this
was a far-side CME and will therefore not arrive at the Earth. The Earth
is currently inside a slow (around 340 km/s) solar wind flow with
average (5-6 nT) interplanetary magnetic field magnitude. We expect
quiet geomagnetic conditions.
TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 068, BASED ON 13 STATIONS.
