COMMENT: Solar activity has been at eruptive levels during the past 24

hours, featuring six low C flares from NOAA AR 11535, 11540 and 11539.

The brightest flare is a currently ongoing C3.0 flare from regions AR
11539 and 11540 which peaked at 11:47 UT on August 4 and triggered a
filament eruption. C-level flares are likely to occur within the next 48

hours, with a slight chance for an M flare.
Quiet geomagnetic levels (K Dourbes between 0 and 3; NOAA Kp between 1

and 2) were registered within the past 24 hours. The geomagnetic field

is expected to remain quiet on August 4, 5 and 6.
