COMMENT: Several C-class flares were detected during the past 24 hours.

Catania sunspot group 56 (no NOAA number yet) produced the strongest of

them, the C3.9 flare peaking at 20:09 UT yesterday. More C-class flares

are expected (especially from this active region), with a small chance

for an isolated M-class flare. The Earth is currently inside the slow
(around 430 km/s) solar wind flow with weak to average (3-4 nT)
interplanetary magnetic field magnitude. We expect quiet geomagnetic
conditions.
