COMMENT: Solar activity has been low, a C3.9 flare from NOAA AR 1451
peaked at 12:44 UT on April 9. More C-class flares can be expected. This

flare was related to a halo CME, with a speed of ~900 km/s, radio bursts

were also detected (type II and III). The bulk of the CME material was

seen traveling towards the west, but a glancing blow at the Earth (most

probably a shock and sheath) is possible on April 12. Geomagnetic
conditions are quiet, the CME from April 5 missed the Earth. A fast
solar wind from a recurrent coronal hole is expected at the Earth in
about 48h, this may increase geomagnetic conditions to active levels
with possible isolated minor storm periods.
