COMMENT: Solar conditions are quiet and expected to remain quiet for
the next 24 hours. Geomagnetic conditions have been quiet during the
past 24 hours and are expected to remain quiet for the next 24 hours.
Two filament eruptions have been observed in the past 24 hours in the
northern hemisphere. Both are associated with a CME. The first CME is a

slow streamer blowout, and visible in LASCO C2 from about 19UT onwards

on 22/2. It is not geoeffective. Faint related activity can be observed

at the east limb of SWAP and AIA images during the 22nd. A second CME is

visible in STEREO COR2-A images around 9UT on 23/2 towards the east limb

of STEREO A, its speed is about 350 km/s. EUVI-A images indicate clear

on-disk activity (filament eruption, dimmings) associated with this CME.

This low-coronal activity is situated at the west limb as seen from
earth, in the form of post-eruptive loops. We await LASCO data to report

on the geoeffectiveness of this CME, but COR2-B data suggest it is not

straight directed at earth, however a glancing blow is possible. Since

this is a slow CME no major geomagnetic effects are expected in any case.
