COMMENT: Solar activity is likely to stay at eruptive levels for the
next 24 hours with risks of C flares from NOAA AR 1402. The proton event

in progress since Jan. 23 just passed today below the 10 pfu threshold

(for > 10 MeV protons) and is therefore official over. Geomagnetic
activity is expected to be active within the next 24 hours, due to a
coronal hole becoming geoeffective. Current solar wind conditions
measured by ACE are quiet.
