COMMENT: Catania sunspot group 20 (NOAA AR 1401) produced an M1.7 class

flare peaking at 19:12 UT yesterday. No CME was associated with this
flare. This sunspot group maintains the beta-gamma configuration of its

photospheric magnetic field, so another M-class flare is possible. The

Earth is currently inside a slow (360 km/s) solar wind flow with average

(4 nT) interplanetary magnetic field magnitude. We expect quiet
geomagnetic conditions in the coming hours.

TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 071, BASED ON 05 STATIONS.
