COMMENT: The overall background X-ray radiation has decreased to the
B-level. Nevertheless, C-flares are very likely. Geomagnetic conditions
on the planetary level are quiet. We expect this situation to continue
for the next 48 hours. A CME alert was sent for an event of Dec 21,
03:12 UT. The CME alert is based SOHO/LASCO data. There was a time gap
in STEREO data around the time of the plasma ejection. After the time
gap, a CME is visible in COR2 A/B. We link this CME with the CME in
LASCO. The source region can be traced back to the back side of the
solar disk. There will be no impact on Earth.
