PREDICTIONS FOR 27 Oct 2011 10CM FLUX: 136 / AP: 008

COMMENT: Solar activity is at eruptive levels, having produced two
C-flares during the last 24 hours. Within the next 48 hours, more C
flares are possible, with a slight chance for an M-flare. NOAA Regions

11324 and 11330 remain the most likely sources of flare activity.
Observations by the ACE spacecraft reveal that the Earth has left the
magnetic cloud associated with the CME of October 22. The current solar

wind speed is about 400 km/s, and the current interplanetary magnetic
field strength lies around 7 nT. Geomagnetic activity has returned to
quiet levels since 16h UT on November 25, and is expected to remain
quiet until October 27 inclusive. On October 28, active geomagnetic
conditions are possible due to a recurrent coronal hole high speed
stream.

TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 074, BASED ON 15 STATIONS.
