COMMENT: Four sunspot groups are currently visible on the solar disk:
NOAA ARs 1214, 1216, 1218 (Catania numbers 87, 89, 90 respectively) and
1219 (no Catania number yet). None of them is likely to produce a
C-class flare. A partial halo CME was detected by CACTus on May 20,
first appearing in the LASCO C2 field of view at 21:48 UT. STEREO/SECCHI
data demonstrate that this CME originated on the far side of the Sun and
will not arrive at the Earth. The Earth is currently inside a slow
(around 430 km/s) solar wind flow with average (around 5 nT)
interplanetary magnetic field magnitude. We expect quiet geomagnetic
conditions.
