COMMENT: Quiet space weather conditions are expected to prevail in the
next 48 hours both regarding solar and geomagnetic activity. A C2.2
flare occurred on May 12th, peaking at 12:36 UT. It was associated with
a filament eruption and possibly a very faint CME observed by LASCO. The
location of the source region, close to the east limb, makes it unlikely
to produce any geomagnetic effect.
