COMMENT: Solar activity is expected to be mostly quiet with risks of
C-class flares from NOAA ARs 1208 and 1210. A C5.4 flare occurred on May
9th, 2059 UT (peak time) and was associated with a partial halo CME.
This region was just behind the east limb at that time and no
significant geomagnetic consequences are expected from this event.
Further eruptive activity is possible from this active region. The all
quiet alert is lifted. Geomagnetic activity is expected to be low for
the next 24 hours and then reach unsettled levels due to a boundary
crossing.
