PLAIN
NOTE: the above forecasts are valid from 1230UT, 22 Mar 2011 until 24 Mar
2011
PREDICTIONS FOR 22 Mar 2011 10CM FLUX: 105 / AP: 008
PREDICTIONS FOR 23 Mar 2011 10CM FLUX: 108 / AP: 003
PREDICTIONS FOR 24 Mar 2011 10CM FLUX: 110 / AP: 003
COMMENT: A long duration C-flare took place on March 21. The source
region is located in the west: Cat 35/AR 1176. A CME was ejected. The
CME is not earth directed. We expect more flaring activity from this
group. This event probably pushed the > MeV proton flux to a higher
level, the curve passed slightly and for only a short time the storm
threshold. The flux level is at the moment still elevated. The
geomagnetic conditions became unsettled. We expect quiet conditions for

the next day.
