COMMENT: Several B-class flares occurred on the Sun in the past 24
hours, in Catania sunspot groups 91 and 97 (NOAA ARs 1140 and 1146
respectively). None of the flares reached the B3 level. An occasional
C-class flare is possible, although very unlikely. A low-latitude
coronal hole in the northern hemisphere reached the solar central
meridian. We expect a fast flow from this coronal hole to arrive at the

Earth on January 13. The Earth is currently inside a solar wind flow
with intermediate speed (around 500 km/s). As the interplanetary
magnetic field magnitude is at the average level (around 4 nT), we
expect quiet geomagnetic conditions in the next 24 hours.

TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 019, BASED ON 05 STATIONS.
