COMMENT: A B9.2 flare was observed by GOES yesterday around 19:30 in
NOAA AR 1140. The C-flare that occurred yesterday morning was
accompanied by a faint CME which is not directed towards Earth. NOAA AR

1139, that produced this C-flare, is turning over the west limb. No more

significant flaring activity is expected from this region. AR 1140
however, is turning over the east limb and could produce a C-flare. The

geomagnetic field is quiet. The all quiet alert is still valid. Happy
New Year and our best wishes for 2011!
