COMMENT: Catania sunspot group 59 (NOAA AR 1121) produced an M5.4 flare

peaking at 15:36 UT yesterday. According to the STEREO/SECCHI COR2
beacon data, the associated CME is weak and unlikely to arrive to the
Earth. More flaring activity up to the M-level is expected in this
active region, with an X-class flare possible but unlikely. A
low-latitude coronal hole that is now located at the central meridian in

the northern solar hemisphere is too small to produce a significant
geomagnetic disturbance. The Earth is currently inside a slow (around
290 km/s) solar wind flow with weak (around 2 nT) interplanetary
magnetic field magnitude. We expect quiet geomagnetic conditions.

TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 021, BASED ON 02 STATIONS.
