COMMENT: There are 5 sunspot groups on the solar disk but none of them
is capable of producing more than an occasional C flare. We thus expect
low solar activity. The solar wind speed is declining and the
geomagnetic field has become quiet and should remain so over the rest of
the 3-day period. Still, a trans-equatorial coronal hole is now
transiting the central meridian of the Sun. It will probably become
geoeffective by October 24.
TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 024, BASED ON 10 STATIONS.
