COMMENT: Catania sunspot group 42 (NOAA AR 1109) is continuing to grow.
It may produce a C-class flare in the next 24 hours. The Earth is
currently inside a fast (around 600 km/s) solar wind stream. This stream
probably originates from the eastern part of the low-latitude coronal
hole in the northern hemisphere. Due to weak to average values of the
interplanetary magnetic field magnitude (3-4 nT) and decreasing solar
wind speed, we expect quiet geomagnetic conditions. Active conditions (K
= 4) are possible but unlikely.
TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 026, BASED ON 08 STATIONS.
