COMMENT: Solar activity is very low, NOAA AR 11082 has rotated over the
limb, Catania numbers two regions today (92 and 93) but they are not
expected to be flare producers for the moment. The fast solar wind from
a coronal hole arrived to the Earth at 02:45 UT on June 26 and produced
active geomagnetic conditions. Unsettled to active, with possible
isolated minor storm periods, are expected throughout today and
tomorrow. On June 28 the conditions should come back to quiet levels, as
the equatorial parts of the coronal hole will have rotated far enough
from the Earth. There is nevertheless a northern extension of the
coronal hole which may continue to affect the Earth in the coming days
after June 28.
TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 015, BASED ON 10 STATIONS.
