COMMENT: Two sunspot groups currently visible on the solar disc
(Catania numbers 54 and 56, NOAA ARs 1057 and 1059 respectively) have
alpha configuration of the photospheric magnetic field. A C-flare is
very unlikely. The Earth is currently inside a slow solar wind (around

470 km/s) with average interplanetary magnetic field magnitude (5-6 nT).

Quiet to unsettled geomagnetic conditions (K index up to 4) are expected

in the coming 24 hours. Late on April 5 - early on April 6, we expect
the arrival of the ICME associated with the partial halo CME erupted on

April 3. The revised projected plane-of-the-sky CME speed is around 500

km/s. If the ICME will arrive, it may produce a major geomagnetic
disturbance (peak Dst around -100 nT, peak K index around 6).

TODAY'S ESTIMATED ISN : 030, BASED ON 06 STATIONS.
