COMMENT: Solar activity is quiet and is expected to remain so. This
morning the Earth entered the fast solar wind stream from a low-latitude
coronal hole in the northern hemisphere. The wind speed reached 540
km/s, but the interplanetary magnetic field magnitude already decreased
to average values (around 5 nT). We thus expect quiet geomagnetic
conditions.
