COMMENT: Solar activity will stay very low. Today Feb.10 at about
6:00UT, the Earth entered the predicted fast solar wind stream. The
solar wind speed is now rising steeply above 600km/s, with temporary
southward rotations of the IMF down to Bz=-10nT. The ground-based
magnetometers currently show the onset of a geomagnetic disturbance.
Mostly active geomagnetic conditions will result in the next 24 hours,
with possible minor storm surges when Bz turns negative. The geomagnetic
field will then become unsettled to active during at least one more day.
