COMMENT: A long duration C1.2 flare occurred yesterday with an
associated strong CME. NOAA AR 980 has a relatively simple beta magnetic

field configuration and is not expected to produce any more significant

flaring activity. A new active region is currently crossing the Eastern

solar limb (best seen in STEREO-B data). Geomagnetic conditions will
remain quite until the arrival of the high wind speed, expected by
Sunday, of the recurrent coronal hole that is now near central meridian.
