COMMENT: A new cycle sunspot group was numbered as NOAA AR 1005, it is

not likely to cause flares in the coming days. Solar activity remains
very low. On the contrary, geomagnetic conditions were disturbed
yesterday by the arrival of the fast solar wind from a coronal hole. The

Kp index reached 7 and the K-index from Dourbes reached 5. The most
geoeffective part of the fast stream seems to have passed by now.
Unsettled to active conditions can be expected, with possible isolated

storm periods.
