News of a Silent Key
- Owen Vivian Ahnfeldt VK4OV
Sad news in that Owen Ahnfeldt VK4OV, for many years an involved Radio Amateur
in Mount Isa, went Silent Key unexpectantly at Mount Isa Hospital on
Thursday 30th May 2013 aged 85 years.
The funeral notice that appeared in the North West Star and the Obituary
that was published in the Brisbane Courier Mail on June 6th 2013 advised
that his funeral was held under the trees at Mount Isa Cemetery on June 7th 2013
and that he was interred at the Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
Owen has been remembered by those who knew him in Amateur Radio in having
a long involvement with JOTA in Mount Isa. In retirement Owen was active
in the community helping in many ways including the fields of technology, photography and
family history.
