WW PMC contest rules


1. GENERAL

    - The idea of the contest is to promote contacts between stations which are citizens of the Peace Messenger Cities and the rest of the world.


2. WHEN

    - 1200UTC Saturday to 1200 UTC Sunday, every first weekend of February.


3. BANDS AND MODES

    - 1.8, 3.5, 7, 14, 21 and 28MHz, CW and SSB. IARU band plans should be observed.


4. CATEGORIES

4.1 Location:
    - PEACE MESSENGER CITIES (PMC)(Single op station, operating from a PMC, as listed on http://www.iapmc.org.
    - WORLD (any single op station)

4.2 Operators:
    - Single operator from PEACE MESSENGER CITIES

    - Single operator from the REST OF THE WORLD


4.3 Mode:

    - CW

    - SSB
    - MIXED MODE


4.4 Operating Time:
     - 24 hours


4.5 Power:

    - HIGH power

    - LOW power

    - QRP.


5. EXCHANGE
    Send RS (T) and serial number starting from 001, plus PMC reference if applicable (PMC stations MUST include the reference as part of their exchange). Do not use separate numbering     systems for CW and SSB. Stations may be contacted on both CW and SSB on each band.

6. SCORING

6.1 QSO Points

There are four possible relations between stations foreseen: QSO between NONPMC station and NONPMC station, QSO between PMC station and NONPMC station, QSO between stations from direrent PMC reference, and QSO between stations within the same PMC reference. Depending on relation, different number of points is delivered.

NONPMC – NONPMC (QSO between NONPMC station and NONPMC station)
Each station receive 5 points for QSO

PMC – NONPMC (QSO between PMC station and NONPMC station)
PMC station receive 5 points for QSO, while NONPMC station receive 25 points for QSO.

PMC X – PMC Y (QSO between stations from direrent PMC reference)
Each station receives 10 points for QSO (X and Y stands for three letter abbreviation  of PMC reference).

PMC X – PMC X (QSO between stations within the same PMC reference)
Each station receives 5 points(X stands for three letter abbreviation of PMC reference).

6.2 Multiplier
The multiplier is the total of different PMC references contacted on each band on CW, plus the total of different PMC references contacted on each band on SSB. Each PMC reference counts only once for each band and each mode worked.

6.3 Total score:
The score is the total of QSO points on all bands added together, multiplied by the total of multipliers

 
7. LOGS
Should be sent in Cabrillo file, 30 days after contest is finished. by mail, or delivered by provided  upload link on WWW.S59DCD.SI. 8. AWARDS
Certificates will be awarded to leading stations in each category and section, and in each continent, according to number of entries.
