WinFBB 7.00E for W2K, W2K3, XP, Vista and W7
The legend of WinFBB 7.00e seamed to be dead in Windows Millenium, but it isn't so because making some new changes in the BBS we can use the WinFBB 7.00e 32 bits with the sound card and AGWPE with the W2K, W2K3, XP, Vista or Win 7.
There is no excuses to close down the BBS because we must work with equipment and modern operative systems.
The first thing to do is download from here or from the Download section the file C_Filt32.zip to replace the one in WinFBB 7.00e.
Then, having the filters do the following:
EQUIPMENT HAVING 2 OPERATIVE SYSTEMS:
Without doubt it is easier and faster migrate because there is no need to transport, nor install again from scratch the WinFBB 7.00e.
1) Go to "My Computer".
2) Right click in Properties and the in Advanced.
3) Click in Environment Variables and choose in the window underneath Path and click in Edit and then something like this will appear: SystemRoot%\system32; etc. and at the end of the line, after the semicolon add this: c:\fbb;c:\fbb\bin;c:\fbb\system; and finish clicking OK as many times until the configuration closes.
4) Go to C:\FBB\BIN and leave only the following PIF files: FBB_SVC, DSZ and RUNFBB, and erase the others PIF files.
5) Replace the old versions of C_Filt32.DLL and C_Filter.DLL from where you came down. The Filters MUST BE installed in C:\FBB\BIN.
EQUIPMENT HAVING ONLY ONE OPERATING SYSTEM:
1) Save a complete copy of the whole FBB before migrating to the new system under the platform NT, because in neither case you don't need to install from scratch the WinFBB 7.00e.
2) Install the new operating system.
3) When the PC is ready to install the programs, copy the WinFBB 7.00e fully into the hard disc and follow the steps 1) to 5).
Run the WinFBB in the new platform and you'll see ineach connection something like the example that follows,which is completely normal.
