 all,

LinFBB 7.0.14, the Linux version of the FBB BBS software, is
available. It fixes the forwarding with a partner BBS in two cases.

  1. A line of 80 characters or more in forward.sys, or in an
included .fwd file (a long comment is enough), overflowed a
buffer in xfbbd. On F6BVP-1 it set the forward time-out of one
partner BBS to zero: every forward session with it was cut a
few milliseconds after the connection, with "*** Timeout !!".
Long lines are now cut to 79 characters.

  2. A connection script with several steps (connect to a node,
then send the BBS command) could fail: the welcome banner was
sent instead of the next step. The channel time-out is now set
     before each outgoing forward connection.

The "S" lines of the forward files are also bounded to the size
  of their buffers.

In service since 17-20 October on four BBS: F6BVP-1, F6CNB-1,
F3KT-8 and F6KKR-1, with hourly forwards to a BPQ mailbox in
  Canada.
Built on Raspberry Pi (armv7l, aarch64) and PC, with no error.

Upgrading: the configuration files do not change. Replace the
programs (xfbbd at least) and restart the BBS.

Download: Files section of the linfbb project on SourceForge,
  fbb-7.0.14.tar.gz or fbb-7.0.14.tar.bz2.

Debian: testing and unstable have 7.013, the package for 7.0.14
  is on its way.

Questions and reports are welcome, by packet or by e-mail.
