LATEST NEWS from Bodo, 5N0EME, dated 2009-10-12:
I finally repaired my amplifier for 2m about two weeks ago. I
carefully did some tests and also some QSOs. I am happy to announce
that everything now seems to work reliable. Unfortunately I could
only reactivate one module, which gives me about 450W. The most
recent reports were good so the loss of 3dB power does not mean the
end of activity. I now put the 2m yagi into my little back yard in
the hotel (same grid). Therefore, I will be able to operate more
often on 2m EME. I will try to be on air more often during the
week and do some QSOs. Activities will therefore be mostly between
1900 and 2200z... if moon is there. I need a quite high elevation
over here (MR about 45deg, MS about 20deg). I will plan another
activity here from the radio station where I will be able to work
with much lower elevation to give JA and VK a chance. This activity
will be announced here and will be most probably during a weekend
(maybe 24./25.Oct). Check the N0UK logger to see when I am on.
By the way, if you see 5N0OCH spottet somewhere on shortwave, I
am at the radio station and definately not on 2m. I currently
stay one day in the hotel and one day at the radio station,
depending on what else is going on. I also updated the log and
added a line for the QSL status. This status might be updated
next week, as I received alot of direct QSL cards that I will
answer this month. If you sent me your card already and miss my
answer, check to log to see if I have sent you my card already.
The last ime I have sent out QSL cards was beginning of July.
Regarding to current schedule, I will stay in Nigeria until the
end of November. As well a LATEST LOG - Updated 2009-10-12:
