Believing, knowing, and antennas.

What has believing and knowing to do with antennas ?
I think this has to do with it, as we will see in a short moment.

On my HP I describe the Roomcap antenna, its capabilities
and the results I obtained, and also the results obtained by
other users of this antenna.

Can you believe all this ?
Therefore the question: What means believing and knowing ?

Believing can be defined this way:
"To assume sth. to be true, what you did not experience personally,
but it was testified by others"

and

Knowing can be defined this way:
"To assume sth. to be true, what you have seen and tested yourself"

Today, Dec. 15th I received this email from Noriaki, JA8CNF:

Dear Felix

Thank you for an email.
I answer a question from you.

I do not send log in CQ WW CONTEST.
Because the purpose was to check performance of ROOMCAP ANTENNA.
And I was able to get a splendid result.
The participation of the contest is morning and night both in two days.

I report the information that is good for you.
I did W6CCP(Seymour) and QSO(SSB he59+ my59) at 3.8MHz
on December 4.

He said.
The facilities using are long wires of 1.5KW+200m length.
your using?

I answered.
When it is power of 200W and a very very small antenna of the length of 2m.

He said.
Is it right? It is unbelievable.

It is a fact entirely that I tell you.
I was not believed first, too. However, it was correct,
and your design was right.
Thank you for a splendid antenna.

(Distance between ja8cnf and w6ccp = 8'500 km)

I received a similar email a few days ago from Rudi, HB9AFX.
And I could add about 30 other HAMs who made the same
experience with this antenna.

- Who did not make this experience personally, can believe it.
- Each one who built it, knows it.

What I do here is publishing the results of the primary purpose
of Amateur Radio activities.
This antenna is the result of studies combined with on the air
experiments.
The ITU (International Telecommunication Union)
defines Amateur Radio this way:

The Amateur Radio Service is defined as "a radio communication
service for the purpose of self-training, intercommunication and
technical investigations carried out by amateurs, that is, duly
authorized persons interested in radio technique solely with a
personal aim and without pecuniary (monetary) interest."
