- For Sale, Heritage Gear
Do you long to complete that high power tuner you have been building, or yearn to
pilot a beefy high powered transceiver you have restored yourself? Finding it hard
to find high voltage components or hard to get bits?
Gerry/VK4HT has recently (finally) retired and needs to make a bit of room at his QTH
in Cairns and is reluctantly letting some fine pieces of equipment and components out into
the wild after collecting them all these years. Being a former Marine Surveyor,
Radio Inspector and avid equipment builder himself, Gerry has collected only the finest
quality treasure.
Theres lots of quality thermionic valves (including some high power output types),
Big variable ganged capacitors, tuneable inductors, high voltage RF capacitors plus lots more.
So you have read this and canâ€Öt stop slobbering at the though of all this marvellous
equipment – stop it, you will wreck your computing device – ring Gerry now on mobile
0419 470737 to find out more or secure your RF treasure!

- WICEN >> since 1946 << -
- WICEN NQ >> since 1971 << -
- Curly Wind Season is over, but it's a good time to get prepared anyway.
Have you checked your shack and your antenna to see how they will go during the next wet season ?
Its always a good time to make stock up, charge batteries and get ready for action !
Get on air - scare the spiders and lizards out of the rig and make sure your transciever works.

- WICEN NET
WICEN operators in Queensland hold a net every Sunday
The nets happen on
14125kHz from 8-00am (2200UTC)
7105kHz +/- QRM from 8-30am (2230UTC)

The net calls in regular stations and then invites new stations to call in.
If conditions are poor on 7MHz, net control might move to around 3600kHz
depending on how pliable the net operators are.
Mix it with other WICEN ops and call in on the net !!

Emergency Frequencies per IARU region - active during disasters
IARU Region 1 3760 7110 14300 18160 21360 kHz
IARU Region 2 3750 3985 7060 7240 7275 14300 18160 21360
IARU Region 3 3600 7110 14300 18160 21360
VK is in Region 3
Other frequencies could be activated on a per country basis -
stay tuned to the WIA News for activations.
