Funny you hould mention that. I see that Yaesu don't seem to clean their
PCB's too well. Quite a bit of flux hanging about.

I've done just that, but I have not completly reassembled the rig yet
so not sure if it's gonna cure my original problem.
The original reason for taking apart the rig was that I noticed a strong
sproggie on about 7.078Mhz which appears to be internally generated,
and I decided to see of there were any dodgy joints or component
failures. I hadn't noticed it before, so not sure if it was there all
the time or if something has changed.
I'll provide an update as and when.
