I had much the same result on my laptop Dom and it seems to be the use of
AGW as the set up kept changing TELNET to AGW and then telling me a file
was missing. Can't remember the file name now as I did not persist. Winpac
works perfectly on this computer so what the heck. Have a look in OPTIONS
-
COMMS SETUP, HOST MODE and check that it is TELNET and not AGW.
For Warren's benefit I tried Ubuntu. Good program but same problem as with
Win7, most of the software was not compatible and I am not gonna spend my
hard earned dollars on new software just so that I confuse those I
communicate with who cannot read many Linux based programs. XP works fine
and I have no need to change for the sake of change.

I have been using winpac with Xp opperating system for years and then out
of the blue about a month ago it stopped working and I keep getting the
same message about cannot create a temp file neede for program to
initialse, etc, etc
I have spent many hours trying to solve problem with NO success.
