Re Winpack woes and having to change Bulletin Columns. I have never
changed these from default, as put in by setup of Winpac 6.8 Also I have
done that on 2 computers for 3 BBS's, and all function on telnet, with no
troubles at all. The only changes made were to BBS.txt, Mail options,
Personal options and Comms setup
Many thanks to those BBS's who came to both mine and Bob 6BE's aid, but
brickbats to one who went into a tizzy after my lending a helping hand to
Bob, through letting him trial my Packet.ini.
That BBS who had some over strong ideas about security, if a Telnet net
address is made public. Even to the point of dropping offenders off his
BBS. This is not in ham spirit at all. After all ham radio is a hobby, or
maybe even a boys toy!
The helpful ones however even posted their IP addresses and INI files on
this medium and gave every help possible.
