I have said it before, I will say it again, Set the Columns up in
winpack
its not hard to do, but make sure you get it right, getting it wrong
creates problems with the messages that you are seeing.

Roger g4ide commented many times that this was the biggest problem with
winpack when using telnet, especially if the setup had been used on a
bbs that sent Unproto beacons out, ie used on RF before telnet.

He also said that 99% of the problems people experienced with using a
telnet systen was missing text in messages, again this was caused by the
columns not being set exactly right.

Even though he documented it and told people countless times they seemed
to think they new best and they didnt do as he told them, no wonder he
used to get frustrated when people didnt listen.

I have seen it myself countless times in the past when having to set
winpack up for people that didnt seem able to grasp what the problem
was.

Set the colums up, set them exactly as per the instructions, make sure
you get it exactly right and it should fix the problems.

at the end of the day its not rocket science...
