Hi Bob,

Sorry to hear that the problem is still with you.

I could send you a copy of my Winpack ini file if you like....

Locally there is hardly any time that a Sysop message is sent from the
Console at the BBS. So it makes it a bit difficult to see if I can make
the problem occur at ZL1AB. However the next time there is a club meeting
when I service the BBS, I will send a local bulletin & try a manual read
of it from my home QTH.

You've said that if Winpack downloads the Sysop originated bulletin
automatically you get the whole message & nothing is missed.
So how about putting the BBS Sysop callsign in the FROM section of the
Selection List Editor. That way any bulletin message FROM the BBS Sysop
will be automatically downloaded & you will not have to do a manual
download with "R message number" & have the problem you report.
Shouldn't be that many BBS Sysop bulletins?

Wouldn't fix the actual problem, but would work around it.
Maybe try it for a week & see how it goes.......

A question.... Is the "paging" turned off at the BBS you are using?
Paging is the facility where part of the message is sent out, then the BBS
stops & asks you to "CR for more of the message".
It is suggested with Winpack to have "Paging" turned off.
Strange things may happen if paging is left ON??????????????

"O-command gives you different options:
O alone shows you what language you are using, paging and base-number.
- Type OP to toggle paging on messages.
- Type OP [number-of-lines] to select paging with a specific number of
  lines per page.
- Type OL alone to get a list of available languages.
- Type OL[space][language-number] to choose a language.
- Type ON alone to see your base-number.
- Type ON [number] to choose a new base-number. The number you type, will
be multiplied by 1000, so if you type ON 54, your base-number will be
54000.
After that, you can type R 25 to read message number 54025.
It is also allowed to type ON 54000.
- Type OR to choose if you want to be able to list and read all personal
messages in the BBS (if your BBS allows this...).
- Type OM to choose if you want to receive the list of new messages at
  every connect".
From the FBB commands help file.

OP toggles the paging ON/OFF.
OM toggles the new message list ON/OFF

It is suggested to have OM OFF as Winpack always requests a list of new P
type mail anyway with the LN command it sends.
Having OM ON means you get the list of your P type mail twice.
A small deviation to the problem with Sysop bulletins.......
