Charlie, your bulletin came through uscathed that time. The others
including one from Barry VK2AAB had no text.

Now can you explain why I have used nothing but a chevron there for the
past 12 or 13 years and it is only now that it has caused a problem? Not
likely.In any case I tried a suggested replacement for the chevron and it
made no diference at all. Nothing I do here chnages the problem.
NB: I gather from a message from Ray VK2TV that he can simulate my problem
by going into the BBS using my callsign. That should mean there is a BBS
problem and the BBS is having some difficulty with my callsign.He is
looking into that possibility.
I am having my computer checked out on Sunday night to maske sure that all
is well there.
The problem with the laptop is different. I can't run AGWPE, which is
necessary before Winpack will boot up, apparently because it is being
blocked by Windows. Clicking UNBLOCK does not help. I am having that
checked out too.
It is useless altering my .ini files and other files since I am using
Ray's which works fine for him . I installed the whole of the Winpack
version that Ray is using with all his settings except my personal details
and all to no avail. The problem remained.
Warren, there is no PASSWORD in the BBS.txt file. The command is WAITFOR
password, but there is no password mentioned.
