I read all those latest bulletins from the initial screen. They are
downloading automatically when I bootup even with autoBBS disabled and can
be read . However when I list them and flag them and then download them
the problem emerges.

It seems there is more to this than meets the eye, then. The current
position here has deteriorated considerably.

In that last lot of bulletins they came down normally until I got to one
from Ray. That had no text and the following bulletins from other stations
either had no text or their text was scrambled into each other's
bulletins, but not in their entirety, just bits and pieces.

Whatever is going on has happened in the last few months and has become
worse as time goes on.

The laptop has a different problem. I can't run AGWPE no matter what I do.
The message I got first was that the Firewall was blocking it. I clicked
UNBLOCK but it still would not run so it seems I have to download again
and reinstall with Firewall out of action. Risky but I can't run Winpack
on that computer till I get AGWPE running. It has the last version of XP as
an O/S.

Warren, I can't use manual connection. It asks for a password and I have
not got one. Using the NP command to try to get round this just brings up
an error message "wrong password" or words to that effect.
Cheers all,
Bob VK6BE.
