Hi Pete.
No compressed downloading here and after Ray sent me a copy of Winpack he
is using the program is working correctly now. I got a test bulletin sent
out by Ray complete with text so that seems to be that.Success with that
one.

The problem now is still with the laptop. To have two computers having
problems with the same downloaded program makes me think that the program
Winpack on the download site I used is corrupt.

The problem on the other computer (the laptop) still is that the program
looks for AGWPE, and not being able to find it refuses to go any further
and changes the TELNET command to AGW. Uninstalling the program I
downloaded and putting in Ray's copy did not cure that one. I have
downloaded AGWPE but it does not seem to want to run correctly. It says it
is installed and the icon comes up on the desktop but clicking on it
achieves nothing. It does not work. We are still working on that one.The
instructions are in about 12 languages and are not clear.
I use Telnet, and have broadband with a router which allows me to use my
laptop as well as the main computer. There is nothing wrong with that
system. It is working fine.
Cheers,
Bob VK6BE.
