Pete, you have missed my point. I don't NEED all those bells and whistles.
My main use of the computer is for secretarial work, bulletins (in colour
with pretty pictures), letters, reports, writing music scores and sundry
other uses. XP does it very well.
WIN7 refuses to recognize many of the programs I use, "not compatible" it
says. To continue I would have to pay out on several expensive programs
and for what reason? To be up with the Jones s? I don't want 7's other
features and I don't want to pay for the updating or replacement of the
programs I use when it is not necessary to do so. My computer is a tool,
and I use it as such..
WIN7 may charm you technical guys but I am not in that category; I get my
kicks elsewhere.
This argument was started by the feller in NJ who wants everybody to want
everything he wants and to follow his lead. When he faces defeat in his
arguments he throws another frog.
XP does all I want and then some. I don't want to face a change of system
when what I have does everything I need.
It's a matter of my choice.
Oops! Here comes a tortoise this time. Missed!
Bob VK6BE.
