My version of Win7 is the 32-bit upgrade from XP. Some of the things
I don't like about Win7 are:
1. No easy and obvious way to transfer files from one location to
another.
2. No date shown for when files were installed or last edited (you
can't even get the date by hovering the cursor over them).
3. No separate itemization in the task bar for each window of an
application, eg. there is now only one clickable link for the
program Paltalk. If you happen to have several windows of the
program open, you must now click twice to open a window instead
of just clicking that window's link. This may suit those who like
to run as many applications as they can, but it's a nuisance for
those of us who limit to just a couple of programs running.
4. Because I upgraded, there was no email program included and I was
forced to download Windows Live Mail. No problem with that, but
there is no easy or obvious way to install an icon for it on the
desktop where I prefer to access my programs from, so I'm forced
to click the Start button, then click All Programs, then click
Windows Live Mail. Three clicks instead of double clicking an
icon.
I'm happy with how Win7 is running, but apart from ReadyBoost there's
nothing about it that could be described as revolutionary.
