Hello all,
I have removed some programs from my windows XP m/c.
One of the programs was Winlink. It was removed using the control panel
install/remove programs facility.
It left behind the directory for Winlink and most of the winlink files.
These I removed manually.
Now when I start windows, after loading is complete, it comes up with a
message that it cannot find
C:\WINLINK\BIN\LOADBWCC.EXE
and to check the spelling.
If I click OK it then comes up with
Could not load or run C:\WINLINK\BIN\LOADBWCC.EXE specified in the registry.
Make sure the file exists on your computer or remove the reference to it in
the registry.
I have run regedit.exe but I cannot find a reference to the file or indeed
to Winlink. Near the bottom in the registry display there is a list of
programs but neither winlink or loadbwcc.exe is mentioned.
It could of course be somewhere else in the registry but I cannot find it.
Any suggestions and don't say Linux.
Windows seems to be working OK so it does not seem to be a necessary file.
Even if it was why would it be in a user program ?
