 TABLELANDS RADIO AND ELECTRONICS CLUB

John VK4TL — President has supplied QNEWS a few words about their Longlands
 Gap Repeater.

The expensive ZCG/Scalar antenna has been struck by lightning and is Kaput,
 blackened and split asunder.

John volunteered his "Mobile One" vertical to take its place. All would have
been great but the first RF transistor in the Rx may have also got the shock
of its life at the same time as the lightning strike, so the receiver has to
 be looked at.

Good news is that the Bones Knob repeater 439.900 is now back on air.
