theTARCinc 2008 AGM attendance numbers needed
The 2008 Annual General Meeting of theTARCinc happens Sunday
November 23rd from 7am at Area 2 - Rossiter Park Aitkenvale.
The AGM will start off with Breakfast followed by the meeting
and attendance numbers are needed for catering purposes.
Relay your AGM numbers as soon as possible to
Gavin VK4ZZ either by phone 47791161, mobile 0427 182469
or via Radio.
CHECK YOUR BACKSCATTER LABEL
If you were intending to vote at the AGM, your fees must not
be overdue by more than three months at the AGM date.
You can check your status by looking at the date block beside
your callsign on the mailing label of Back-scatter magazine.
If the date is more than two months before the AGM i.e. 09/2008
or earlier, then you are not eligible to vote at the AGM (or any other
general meeting).
If this applies to you, get your fees to Treasurer Joan VK4FTVL
as soon as possible before the AGM (23 Nov 08).
She may accept fees on the day, but it would be kinder and much
less mucking around to get them in earlier.

New equipment prices rising soon
With the shifting of value in the World's currencies it was inevitable that
Ham Radio equipment sourced from overseas would eventually increase
in price.
We heard this disturbing news in the National Broadcast and Barry VK4TBD from
Navcom Electronics suggests that those in the market for new equipment but
with budgetary concerns get cracking on purchasing TODAY!!!
