CLUBBING - WITH RAY VK4ZW BRISBANE AR CLUB
GOLD COAST AMATEUR RADIO SOCIETY
What a busy day at the clubhouse yesterday. Started with a Committee
Meeting and then a BBQ and socialising followed by the Men's Health Discussion.
The talk was given by Steve vk4SDE it was a very informative and many questions
were asked.
Notes were supplied to attendees for perusal and to take home.
There was a very good attendance which was good to see. During the
break there was a talk by Wayne VK4JDL on the plans in progress for the
JOTA weekend Looks like things are are coming along well and a great
weekend is envisioned. If you would like to assist Wayne he would like to hear
from you.
And don't forget as we highlighted last week during our Gold Coast special
on D-Star, that ALARA's 33rd birthday activities will be held at the Clubrooms
once again this year on the 12th July from 11am. BBQ available and please
bring a plate to share.

Operators for TV Activation wanted
Think you can have fun activating TV ?
Not Tele-Vision TV, but Towns-Ville TV during the Jack Files Contest happening
on Saturday evening July 12th.
Steve VK4SJW is after operators to help operate the VK4WIT club station during
the contest and help activate Shire/City TV as part of the contest.
It will be a heap of fun and you will have the chance to be amongst the first
to operate the new HF equipment at the VK4WIT Club Station.

theTARCinc WICEN Co-ordinator Ray VK4NET is after operators to help out with a
variety of events that will need communications support coverage, including :
Magnetic Island to Townsville Swim on Saturday 12th July,
King of the Hill Hillclimb Mount Stuart on Sunday 3rd August,
The Woodstock Endurance Ride 23-24 August.
