Forecast Discussion

Low pressure departing the mid-Atlantic will continue the high clouds during the morning but high pressure building in will cle
ar skies through the day. High pr
ess will crest tomorrow keeping skies clear overnight and for most of tomorrow. The building hi
gh will also dampen winds into tomorrow, although the pressure gradient this morning will keep things fairly gusty before dying
down. When the high crests tomor
row, winds will be variable and light briefly coming under the influence of temperature gradien
ts instead of pressure gradients, a rarity on the summit. High clouds will reenter the sky tomorrow afternoon as a cold front a
pproaches for Thursday. Wind chil
ls for the period will start 0-10 above rising to 15-25 above and remaining overnight before cl
imbing to 20-30 above for the morning and rising in the afternoon.
