Forecast Discussion
Low pressure will continue to track through the Mid–Atlantic, eventually transferring energy offshore and forming a secondary low in the Gulf of Maine. This low will then take over and slowly move into the Canadian Maritimes tonight. High pressure will start to build into the region, behind the departing low, late tonight and through tomorrow. A mix of freezing rain, sleet, and rain will fall heavily at times until beginning to taper off this afternoon. Any remaining showers will likely change over to snow this afternoon and tonight as temperatures fall well below freezing.
