Forecast Discussion
The quiet weather pattern with continue with high pressure still in place, although, it will be weakening slightly. A weak stat
ionary front that has been locate
d to our north for days will finally get moving and drop southeast through the region. The main
effect of the front will be increasing clouds and a slight cool down. The front become nearly stationary to our south and then
nearly washes out as high pressu
re starts to rebuild to our southeast. At the same time, a low pressure system approaches from
the west, runs into the ridge, and squeezes by south and off the Mid-Atlantic coast. We may see a few high clouds from this sys
tem as well when mid level moistu
re gets sheared out and climbs the backside of the ridge. It looks like to pleasant weather wil
l continue with dry conditions and above average temperatures through the forecast period.
